Ah. Perhaps if I say that often enough to myself, I’ll begin to believe it?
I remember when I had my first son, and was feeling as frazzled and uncertain as most new mothers do. My Health Visitor said to me ‘don’t try to be a perfect mother, there’s no such thing. Just be a ‘good enough’ mother. That’s all children need.’
It’s as simple as that! Good to see you.
Short and sweet. Very nice job. I wish more of us believed these simple mantras.
Well done! But, you are better than good enough, imo. Very nice, very nice.

I found those words very reassuring.
That’s what EVERYONE should think. I learned to enjoy my flawed self at an early age and it’s stood me in good stead too.
I am so happy to have learned that simple phrase (“you are good enough”) from Janine Hancock, an expressive arts therapist at Sheena’s Place (http://www.sheenasplace.org/index.php?page=janine-hancock)
When I was SOOOOO ill with anorexia and bipolar disorder, those words reminded me that I didn’t need to do anything other than be me!
Wonderful! I love this post. It does say so much. Thank you!
