Exploring the Impact of Artful Engagement with Older Adults
From March – December 2011, as an artist educator of the Living Through the Arts program (The Royal Conservatory), I was fortunate to be part of this amazing study examining the impact of arts programming on the health and well-being of older adults. Below is a video sharing that experience.
Exploring the Impact of Artful Engagement with Older Adults is a research study on the effects of arts-based workshops on the health and well-being of older adults that is being conducted by The Royal Conservatory in partnership with Baycrest. This video describes the research hypotheses and the project undertaken. Additional information will be available upon release of the final results in 2013. For further information about this study, please contact Dr. Ann Patteson, Director of Research, The Royal Conservatory (ann.patteson@rcmusic.ca) or Melissa Tafler, Clinical Research Coordinator, Baycrest (mtafler@baycrest.org). This project is made possible thanks to the support of The Ontario Trillium Foundation.
