You might enjoy Nia if you are…

Last summer, the lovely Jamie Ridler (of Jamie Ridler Studios) facilitated a focus group to help me better understand my Nia students, their needs and their experiences.

I learned a lot! I’m understanding more and more about who can benefit from Nia and why that might be the case.

It turns out that Nia enthusiasts share some common character traits.

So, Nia might be for you if you see yourself as being any of the following:

– organized    Nia dancers

– type A

– reliable

– artistic

– creative

– strong

– supportive

– expressive

– loving

– creative

– adventurous

– holistic

– connected to nature

Do any of those words describe you? If so, maybe it’s time to check out a Nia class…

If you do, you’ll meet Julie, who says that for her, Nia “transformed (her) into a warrior and (she) was ready to take on the world”

And Eloise will be sure to greet you warmly when you come to class. She points out that Nia “…brings together a wonderful community of mostly women, but sometimes men. And that’s just part of it. (There’s a) wonderful friendliness and community.”

Or maybe Elizabeth will be in class when you join us.  She “loves being exposed to new and diverse music” in class.

Looking forward to seeing you on the dance floor!
